After talks with congressional leaders stalled, President Trump signed an Executive Order to extend certain COVID-19 crisis benefits. The order extends $400 per week unemployment benefit after the $600 per week CAREs Act benefits expired on July 31, 2020. Also included in the order is another moratorium on evictions, as well as assistance for home owners.
