This May, Bautis Financial welcomed Kayla Waller to the team as a Paraplanner. Working alongside our advisors, Waller is responsible for client communication, developing financial plans, staying in-the-know on the ever-changing financial landscape and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement at the firm.
Waller is a Class of 2021 graduate from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business through the CFP® Certification Education option. While attending, Waller held a variety of positions in Bond and Securities Investing by Students (BASIS), a student-run organization that managed a $5mm fixed income portfolio within Virginia Tech Foundation’s endowment. Waller utilized Bloomberg and other tools for research, security selection, trading, analytics and administration.
With added work experience as a financial planning intern at JJSA Advisors in Virginia Beach, and additional on-campus involvement in the Financial Planning Association and Finance Club, Waller has honed in on her skillset and built hands-on experience in the industry.
