According to a Labor Department report released on Friday, the United States job market boomed in March — outpacing the expectations by 35% — making it the fastest pace of job growth since August 2020. A stronger economic growth and an aggressive vaccination effort contributed to the increase, particularly notable in the leisure, hospitality and construction industries.
156,000 jobs were also added to the final January and February report, bringing the current, total unemployment rate down to 6%.
