ETF’s and Mutual Funds are portfolios with groups of assets, but their utility is very different.
- Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) trade on exchanges like normal securities. Most are passively managed and have low fees.
- Mutual Funds add complexity and you can only place a trade at the end of the day. They are actively managed by big institutions and carry larger fees and tax implications if you pull your money out.
