New COVID-19 Vaccine Orders From Biden Administration

The Biden Administration has announced three new vaccine policies that will take effect in the coming days through Executive Order. They are:

1. All businesses over 100 employees must require vaccination or conduct weekly testing of their workforce. This new Executive Order will impact approximately 80 million US workers.
2. All health facilities accepting federal dollars (Medicare/Medicaid) must vaccinate their workforces. This will impact an additional 50,000 health facility locations throughout the country.
3. All Federal employees must be vaccinated, and there will be no option for those who wish to test instead. This order will impact 2.1 million federal workers in additional to all federal contractors.

Penalties will apply to businesses, health facilities and federal workers not in compliance.

The order comes as infections rise to 150k new cases and 1,500 deaths every day.
