Except for the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the major United States market indices ended the week higher, as investors dealt with earnings reports and news that the GDP (gross domestic product) suffered the largest loss in history this past quarter. Whereas last week saw the value in small-cap names outperform, this week saw it just the opposite — as the growth names and large caps finished the week higher.
There was some worry from Wall Street as the CEOs from large technology names were grilled by Washington D.C. lawmakers, but all of that was put aside when earnings were reported the next day. Listen for more.
